Declan the Bookworm

I have just been dying for the opportunity to share these photos since our session on Monday! After the session, my PC went on the fritz and I had to do a complete factory restore. Luckily I was able to backup all my precious photo files. Ah, the joys of PC ownership :)

For this session, little Declan's lovely parents, whom I've known for years, really wanted some special 1-year photos. His birthday was in December, but I was photographically out of commission at the time so they resorted to a retail store whose name I will not mention here. Luckily I was able to replace my camera and they came back to me for some real photos ;) Since Declan's birthday falls smack dab in the middle of winter, we wanted to stay nice and warm especially since the poor guy was just getting over a bad cold. While going over ideas, Mieka, his mother, told me he just loves books. Then it hit me, the Jackson Book Exchange would be the perfect place! 

So glad Declan is finally feeling better, and it's always such a pleasure photographing this gorgeous family. 

The VanSchoicks - Again!

These are from a photo shoot that I did with the lovely VanSchoick family: Mieka, Parker, and their handsome little boy Declan back in the fall - they are such a fun family! I can't wait to do another photo shoot with them in the next couple of weeks, and it will be something a little different than you're used to seeing. 2013 is going to be a great year!
